Bio mechanics is essentially used in elite level athletes to study movement, alter and optimise it to achieve the best performance of the movement within the sport, it was a module I studied at University. It frustrates me that we do not give the same importance to our lifestyle movements. As a Physical Therapist who understands Biomechanics and Fascia I have well observed detrimental impacts that occur with incorrect Sitting, Walking and Standing (SWS). It literally is the main cause of immobility.
SWS is something we must constantly continue to do throughout our lives, thus being something that will constantly affect our lives and its physical capability. Its up to us to optimise it, or let it be a detriment to our health.
During my career as a Physical Therapist, I have had to treat severe and painful issues, caused by peoples SWS patterns. Eventually this accumulated to their physical and mental abilities being significantly reduced.
Let’s correct this now to re-train destructive motion patterns before its too late.
